Privacy Policy

GrantMe helps students find scholarships they are eligible for. We take privacy seriously, especially because many of our users are under the age of majority. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

What we collect

When you take the quiz we collect the answers you provide (such as grade level, field of study, school, and grade range) and, if you choose to unlock your full match list, your first name and email address. You can start the quiz and browse scholarships without an account.

Why we collect it

We use your quiz answers solely to rank and personalize the scholarships we show you. We use email addresses to create your account, send you your match list, and (only with your consent) send occasional scholarship-guidance emails. The email that delivers your matches or signs you in is a transactional message; marketing emails are separate and consent-based.

Consent (CASL)

We never pre-check consent. You opt in to scholarship-guidance emails by ticking the box yourself, and every email includes a one-click unsubscribe. You can withdraw consent at any time, and we keep a record of the consent you gave.

Parents, guardians, and minors

Because many of our users are minors, we default to the most protective settings and never enable marketing by default. If you are a parent or guardian and would like a child’s information reviewed or removed, contact us at the address below.

We never sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share it with scholarship providers; the links we show take you directly to the official provider’s own site, where their privacy practices apply.

Analytics

GrantMe uses Google Analytics and Meta Pixel to measure site traffic and marketing performance. These third-party technologies load when you visit the site, independently of the scholarship-guidance email consent checkbox. They may place or read cookies and receive technical information such as your IP address, device and browser details, referring page, pages viewed, and interactions with the site. Google and Meta process that information under their own privacy policies.

GrantMe also uses first-party product telemetry to understand clicks, page responses, and errors. It records interface elements and page routes, but does not read the text you enter into form fields.

Security and retention

We protect your information with encryption in transit and access controls, and we keep it only as long as needed to provide the service. You can ask us to access or delete your personal information at any time.
